SPECIFICATIONS & FIRE REGULATIONS

AISLE CARPETING:
The Exhibition Hall does not have carpet. The show decorator lays all of carpeting throughout the Convention Center exclusively for the FIME show. Your booth does not contain carpet. Exhibitors may purchase booth carpet from the show decorator or bring their own floor covering.

LIGHTING:
The Exhibition Center is lighted by overhead mercury vapor lights.

FLOOR LOAD AND CEILING HEIGHT:
The Floor load is unlimited. The ceiling height is approximately 35 feet. The ceiling is lower in the area between Halls C and D

FREIGHT ENTRANCES:
There are 2 freight entrances on each side of the exhibition center for the FIME Expo. One freight entrance is exclusively reserved for use by the decorator. Exhibitors that wish to unload their own displays must use the freight entrance on the opposite side of the Convention Center. Please check your exhibitor Manual for directions and limitations.

FIRE REGULATIONS:
All exhibitors are responsible for the observance of the fire prevention regulations. You must ensure that each time before the closure your stand that the electrical conductors, and equipment and public utilities (water, gas, etc.) have been switched off.

You may not store or use the following:
FLAMMABLE FLUIDS / FLAMMABLE DYESTUFFS AND DILUENTS / RAGS SOAKED WITH OIL OR DYESTUFF / MATERIALS LIABLE TO SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION / MATERIALS, IN WHICH THE CHEMICAL INTERACTION MAY CAUSE A FIRE OR AN EXPLOSION.

You may not store or use gas cylinders containing flammable liquids or propane butane gas in the exhibition center. Flammable decorative materials, textiles (mock-ceilings, aisle-walls, curtains, etc.) must be flameproof. Packing materials, flammable and other combustible wastes must not be stored in the exhibition center.

No open flames are allowed in the exhibition center, including the premises of exhibition and shows, in storage rooms and in the premises where flammable materials are stored even during the period of construction and dismantling of the exhibition.

The installation of electrical equipment must be carried out in compliance with the specifications of the Florida Building Code, taking into account fire hazard classification of the various premises.

Any electrical appliances or wires that are in a concealed manner, prior announcement must be given, before they are covered, to the Fire Prevention Chief and Auditorium Manager for controlling purposes. The mounting company or person responsible for any damage or accident due to non-compliance with this requirement will be liable and hold harmless the exhibit organizers.

Built-in and other fire protection equipment, electrical appliances and fire alarm equipment must always be left exposed and readily accessible. You may not block, build in or cover fire alarm equipment, fireplugs, electrical equipment, switches and distributors with inside installations, equipment, tableaux, etc.

All vehicles parked in the MBCC during the event shall have locking gas caps or gas caps which are taped over the there fuel supplies. Gas tanks must be reduced to less than one-quarter (1/4) tank full. The positive lead to the battery must be disconnected.

All fire hose cabinets, fire extinguishers, pull stations and emergency exits, including those inside an exhibit space, must be visible and accessible at all times.

Below is a brief outline of the most common regulations that apply to exhibits. This outline is prepared as a ready reference and in no way changes, modifies, or alters the regulations contained in your exhibition space contract.

ONLY LICENSED MUSIC WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN CONVENTION CENTER (Licensed by ASCAP OR BMI).

DO NOT BLOCK YOUR NEIGHBOR.
You may construct your display up to eight (8) feet high along the back wall of your location and return up to five (5) feet forward toward show aisles. The area after five (5) feet can be built up to a height of four (4) feet. You can go higher than four (4) feet in this area providing you do not block more that 25% of this area. Give your neighbor the same courtesy you would want and don't block a buyer's view of a neighboring booth.

KEEP YOUR DISPLAY IN YOUR RENTED LOCATION.
No sales, presentation, solicitation, literature, handouts, etc. may occur outside you’re assigned rented location. You cannot use the show lobbies, or other public areas to market your goods and/or services.
