The breakdown and concept

Competition breakdown

  • Top 20 start-ups will be shortlisted.
  • 10 pitches per round. The competition will consist of 2 rounds and a final pitch-off
  • Each start-up will get 4 mins to pitch and 5 mins of Q&A with the Judges
  • The competition will run in person during FIME 2024, June 19 – 21
  • Top 3 will be selected from each group and the final 6 will compete for the Grand Prize

The format

 
  • June 19 – Group 1 (10 start-ups)
  • June 20 – Group 2 (10 Start-ups)
  • June 21:  Finalists (Top 6 Start-ups) – Innov8
  • 1 winner and 1st and 2nd Runner-up will be announced

Terms

  • It is free to participate, however, you are responsible for your own flight and accommodation to attend the event
  • You will be contacted directly if your application is accepted
  • Please share as much information as possible about your company/product/idea in order to be considered

How does work?

  • The selected start-ups for the Innov8 Competition will receive access to this investor networking lounge.
  • Investors will hand-select start-ups with the right fit and the FIME team will help facilitate 1-1 meetings.
